
The Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP) serves San Francisco’s unhoused population by providing services that place individuals into subsidized, permanent scattered housing in the community. .
FHSP offers recovery-oriented, harm reduction services for adults age 18 years or older residing in San Francisco. FHSP is designed to support unhoused individuals as they transition into and sustain permanent housing. The program’s goal is to reduce the duration of homelessness and ensure long-term housing stability. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed clinicians, case managers, community specialists, and a nurse practitioner.
- Obtaining Documentation Required to Move Into Housing
- Linkage to Community Resources
- Case Management
- Crisis Intervention
- Housing Navigation Including Unit Viewings and Selection, Accompaniment During the Move-In Process, and Orientation to Neighborhood
- Arranging for Necessary Services After Housing Placement, Including Medical and Behavioral Health Services
- Providing Referrals for Tenants Experiencing Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health Issues That Can Potentially Jeopardize the Tenant’s Housing and/or Health
Referrals are made by the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH ).
Once referred, FHSP will guide potential clients through the process of applying to work with Brilliant Corners for housing. Brilliant Corners will handle the details of finding and obtaining an apartment of their choice.
