Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Preparing older adults to overcome challenges and remain competitive in today’s job market through training, community engagement, and workforce development.
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a federally funded job-readiness training program helping older adults transition back into the workforce. SCSEP provides workforce training for older adults in community service organizations and government departments, leading to permanent job placements, including in the private sector.

Using community-based training sites and guidance in workforce development, we help you develop the skills necessary to secure and succeed in part-time or full-time employment.

Eligibility:

Enrollment depends on meeting all eligibility requirements, a successful interview, and training placement.

  • 55 or older
  • Unemployed
  • Living in San Francisco or Marin County
  • Low-Income
  • Looking for Work

We Pay A Training Stipend!

  • San Francisco: $18.07 / hr for 12 hours per week
  • Marin County: $16.00 / hr for 12 hours per week
  • San Mateo County: $16.75 / hr for 12 hours per week

Quickly transition back into the workforce!

Back 2 Work (B2W), provides workforce training in small businesses in San Francisco. Utilizing an expedited workforce development curriculum, we help older adults who are residents of San Francisco and age 60+ or younger with disabilities to enhance the skills necessary to secure employment fast.

Our goal is to prepare older adults to overcome challenges and remain competitive in today’s job market through training, community engagement, and workforce development.

Who’s Eligible:

  • Age 60+ or younger with disabilities
  • Resident of San Francisco, CA
  • Unemployed
  • Income below the Elder Economic Security Index
