Through peer support, hands-on workshops, and expert guidance, Felton’s Parents Connect strengthens families and supports healthy early childhood development.
Felton’s Parents Connect offers peer support groups and workshops where families can learn, share experiences, and build community. Sessions are co-facilitated by parents alongside Felton staff, with rotating guest specialists and community partners providing expert guidance. This welcoming, parent-led space helps families connect with one another, access services, and navigate available resources with confidence.
Felton’s Parents Connect (FPC) serves San Francisco families with children from birth to five years old who have been identified through the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) as children who would benefit from additional developmental support.
Parent/Peer-to-Peer Support Groups: Spanish and English support groups, including groups for parents of children with special needs and those focusing on social-emotional development.
Parent/Child Interactive Groups: Infant massage, expressive arts for young children, and play-based learning groups.
Curriculum-Based Parenting Workshops: Classes like Attachment Vitamins, which focus on early childhood attachment.
Early Literacy Activities: Social-emotional development, understanding IFSP/IEP, supporting children with special needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder support, and online modules from “Help Is in Your Hands.”
Parent consultation, coaching, support groups, and trainings are available for anyone participating in Felton’s Early Intervention & Inclusion (EII) programming.
