What age group(s) are the trainings for?
Topics can be adjusted to be appropriate for any age group. We most often provide presentations for teens, youth, and adults.
Who do we serve with our presentations and trainings?
We facilitate our trainings and presentions for local school districts, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and community-based organizations throughout San Mateo County, as well as virtually via Zoom.
How long are the sessions?
Presentations typically run 1-2 hours but may be tailored to the audience upon request.
What are your training and presentation topics?
Suicide Prevention (School or Community) – Mental health basics, suicide risk factors, supporting someone in crisis, and local resources.
Suicide Assessment for Professionals – Clinical training on suicide assessment, exploring suicidality, and crisis intervention strategies. (Professionals)
Crisis Services Overview – How to access crisis services and 24/7 mobile crisis response in San Mateo County. (All ages)
Adult Mental Health First Aid – How to identify and respond to mental health and substance use challenges. (Adults 18+)
Youth Mental Health First Aid – For adults working with youth; how to support adolescents (grades 6-12 / ages 12–18) with mental health challenges.
teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) – For middle and high school students (grades 9-12, or ages 14-18); how to recognize and respond to peers in need.
Youth SOS Informational Presentation – SOS Signs of Suicide program overview; recognizing depression and suicide risk in self or peers. (Ages 12–17)
988 Informational Presentation – How the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline works and connects to local resources. (All ages)
