Integrated Health & Resource Team (IHART)

The Integrated Health & Resource Team (IHART) is a mobile community resource team serving the city of Vallejo. The team provides services to those experiencing a mental and behavioral health crisis.  

Our dedicated team of non-police personnel provide proactive, culturally responsive engagement to link residents to resources based on their specific and urgent mental and behavioral health needs.  

The IHART program represents a proactive and compassionate approach to addressing mental and behavioral health needs in Vallejo. By prioritizing collaboration, evidence-based practices, and data-driven decision making, IHART aims to achieve meaningful improvements in the lives of community members while advancing public safety and well-being. 

Our multidisciplinary team of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), trained mobile community responders, and behavioral health professionals provides vital support to at-risk and underserved community members in Vallejo, particularly those facing behavioral health crises, substance abuse challenges, or homelessness.

IHART promptly responds to and delivers effective services addressing mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness concerns.  

Our dedicated multidisciplinary team of trained professionals is comprised of non-police personnel who conduct:  

  • Welfare checks, screenings, and assessments.
  • Service linkage, intervention, and prevention services for those experiencing a mental health or behavioral health crisis.
  • Resource distribution.

Program Components of IHART include: 

  • Operating a mobile community resource team available 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 
  • Providing system navigation.
  • Facilitating peer and family support groups. 
  • Training, informing, and assisting clients and their family members in developing the skills needed to care for and advocate effectively on behalf of those seeking services.

How Can I Get Help from IHART? 

Community members in the city of Vallejo experiencing a mental health emergency or community concern are encouraged to call 911 for emergencies. Dispatch will coordinate our team to arrive at your aid.
