Providing access to showers, laundry, meals, and lockers, Felton Institute operates a drop-in center at 2111 Jennings Street in the Bayview for San Francisco residents who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Felton Institute’s Bayview Drop-In Center is committed to supporting San Francisco’s unhoused populations by providing essential services that promote dignity, safety, and well-being. Our goal is to serve as a safe and welcoming space where community members can access basic needs, empowering them to take steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.
We serve individual clients who are 18 years old or older and are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless in the Bayview and throughout the city and county of San Francisco.
Our accessible, barrier-free services include:
Drop-In Center/Client Lounge: Chairs are available daily, providing a place to rest in the evening and overnight.
Showers, Laundry, and Lockers:
- Showers: Our facilities accommodate up to two people at a time and include wheelchair-accessible, roll-in showers, ensuring full accessibility for individuals with mobility aids.
- Laundry: Available free of charge to clients, with staff assistance provided to wash up to two small loads (or one large load) per client, per day.
- Lockers: Accessible all night for those staying overnight in a chair; otherwise, locker access for the general public ends at midnight.
Mail Pick-Up: Available for clients needing a secure, reliable address for receiving mail.
Meals: Located onsite, Mother Brown’s Kitchen provides grab-and-go meals twice daily, offering breakfast every morning and dinner each evening, with earlier dinner times on weekends.
Disabilities Access: Our center is fully accessible for individuals using mobility aids, ensuring everyone can utilize our services.
Drop-In Center/Client Lounge: 3:30 PM – 7:30 AM (Daily)
Doors close at midnight for walk-ins; however, referrals are admitted all night based on availability. Please call the front desk at (415) 671-1100 for referral details.
Mail Service: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Showers: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Last shower at 11:30 PM (Daily)
Brief closures throughout the day for cleaning.
Laundry: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Last wash at 11:00 PM (Daily)
To-Go Meal Service (prepared onsite by Mother Brown’s Kitchen)
- Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Daily)
- Dinner: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
- Dinner on Weekends: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday)
Our services are available to anyone at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness, with no program eligibility requirements or need for external paperwork or proof of income. We are committed to reducing barriers to access; only a general program intake application is required to access our services.
