Felton Institute’s Urgent Accommodation Voucher (UAV) program provides a low-barrier safety net, offering quick access to safe, short-term hotel stays. Designed to support stabilization, the program pairs temporary housing with tailored supportive services and connects participants to resources that help them transition to longer-term shelter or housing solutions as efficiently as possible.
Felton’s Urgent Accommodation Voucher (UAV) program serves adults ages 18 and up experiencing homelessness who meet eligibility criteria for services within the Homelessness Response System (HRS) as defined by the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) Coordinated Entry (CE), with a focus on individuals exiting vehicular homelessness.
Our services include:
- Emergency hotel placement for immediate housing needs
- Linkages to Coordinated Entry and housing programs
- Harm reduction referrals
- Case management
- Assistance with accessing public benefits
- Healthcare and behavioral health connections
- Wellness and emergency safety check-ins
- Support in transitioning to stable living
The program is available to people experiencing vehicular homelessness, such as those living in RVs, who are referred by Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) outreach teams. Additional support and coordination are provided by the Department of Emergency Management (DEM)-led neighborhood street teams.
UAV is staffed by bilingual team members who provide support in both Spanish and English.
