Dr. H. Westley Clark Joins Stellar Team as Newest Member of Felton Institute’s Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 25, 2015) — Felton Institute is proud to announce that Dr. H. Westley Clark, Dean’s Executive Professor of Public Health at Santa Clara University, in Santa Clara, California, is the newest member of Felton’s Board of Directors. Dr. Clark’s lifetime of dedication to the improvement of health, particularly in the areas of addiction and recovery, are in direct alignment with the Felton Institute’s mission of responding to human needs by providing cutting edge, evidence-based social services that transform lives.
Dr. Clark’s numerous awards include the 2013 Life Time Achievement Award from the American Public Health Association, the 2013 Public Policy Award from the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the 2011 Gold Key Award from the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Award in 2004 and 2006.

About Felton’s PREP Program
Felton’s Prevention and Recovery in Early Psychosis (PREP) program provides services in five Northern and Central California Counties: Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Joaquin, and Monterey. A rigorous, data driven program using five evidence-based practices in synergy, PREP’s comprehensive treatment approach includes care management, educational & vocational counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), algorithm guided medication management, and individual and family group therapy.
About Back on Track
The Back on Track Program (BOT) was created by Kamala Harris during her tenure as District Attorney of San Francisco. It is a prosecutor led, re-entry model focused on preventing recidivism among non-violent first time offenders. The program requires a minimum 12 month commitment that provides therapy, educational, career, parenting, health and community goal training with each participant creating a personal responsibility plan with their case-managers and a plan of care (POC) with their Felton Institute therapist to help achieve his or her goals.
