Daniel Costello

Daniel Costello has served as a Felton board member since September 2021 and is the Chair of the Felton Program Committee.

Recently retired after 41 years as Area President of Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers, Daniel Costello spent most of his career as a broker specializing in nonprofit organizations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University and later an MBA from Golden Gate University. Dan also has a decade of coaching and entrepreneurial experience through Dan Sullivan’s Strategic Coach program and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Dominican University.

In his free time, Dan is passionate about volunteering, working with a variety of non-profit organizations across Marin. He’s enjoyed running a homeless help desk at St. Vincent de Paul, being part of a retreat team for men in recovery through Ignatian Spirituality Project, and tutoring/coaching inmates at San Quentin State Prison through a nonprofit called Free To Succeed. He believes in the philosophy that to give is to receive, noting these experiences have blessed and enriched his life in many ways.

Married with three children, his wife Nathalie works as a language development specialist at the Lycee Francais in San Francisco. Maddie, his oldest, followed Dan into the insurance business and his middle daughter Abby works as a DBT therapist at a private practice in Mill Valley. Sophie, his youngest, is just starting her freshman year at the Lycee in San Francisco and has become a “full blown” teenager over the summer.

Dan loves to read, travel, hike, and ride his road bike around the fabulous roads of Marin County.
