Alan Dones

Alan Dones has served as a Felton board member since January 2025.

Alan brings diverse experience in innovation and technology. A licensed engineering construction contractor, he is co-founder and managing partner of Strategic Urban Development Alliance, LLC (SUDA). His experience and expertise spans decades, leading mixed-use development and public agency projects, including the Thomas Berkeley Square in downtown Oakland. He previously served on the Board of the Minority Business Enterprise Legal Defense and Education Fund (MBELDEF), the City of Oakland’s Workforce Investment Board, the Board of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, the Board of the Alameda County Health Care Foundation and as past president of the Northern California Chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC), among other notable organizations.

Alan is honored to serve on Felton’s board to help advance a vision of a more just world where emotional, physical, and mental well-being are prioritized.
