Felton Institute understands the value of partnerships to inspire and lead to successful outcomes. We recently partnered with Solano County for one of our newest programs, Felton Outpatient Services Solano (FOSS). FOSS provides holistic, recovery-oriented behavioral health and support services to adults 18 years old and older, who have Medi-Cal and meet Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) in Solano County.

Chief Deputy Director for Behavioral Health for Solano County, Jennifer Mullane, explained the significance of the partnership, “We’re one of the least resourced counties in the Bay Area communities,” adding “our clients deserve high quality services and Felton brings perspective and experience to clients.”
FOSS is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, medical providers, case managers, and peer support specialists. Services include outpatient case management, individual and group therapy, medical and medication support, and social and community support activities, among other services. “FOSS is unique in that it serves a wide range of ages, from transitional age youth to adults and seniors,” explained Jordan Pont, Director of Felton’s TAY and Adult Mental Health Services.

FOSS helps clients reach mental health goals and connects them to resources that uplift them. “Even seemingly simple support, like providing hygiene supplies or helping clients obtain identification documents, can lead to significant progress by building their confidence and readiness to seek employment. Our approach includes partnering with family members and support networks to enhance client outcomes and support stronger, more resilient inter-personal relationships,” Ms. Pont said. One client shared the positive impact FOSS has had in their life, “FOSS has helped me calm down with my anger and my therapist makes me feel heard and makes me feel welcomed.” They added, “What I like best about FOSS is that I feel heard, and I get acknowledged for everything that I have been through, and my therapist helps me reach my goals.”
Felton’s successful partnership with FOSS continues to grow. “What inspires me,” Ms. Mullane explained, “is watching new programs grow, like the new FOSS program in Solano County. Our clients deserve the high-quality services that Felton provides.” She added, “Felton has an excellent reputation. I know our clients will receive the best possible treatment from your program.”
