Felton Institute 125th Anniversary Wrap-up!

On Thursday, October 23rd, 2014, Felton Institute celebrated its 125th Anniversary at 111 Minna Street in San Francisco.

Friends, supporters, board members and staff gathered together to hear about the history of Felton Institute’s founder, Kitty Felton and  her positive influence on the development of social services in the United States.

Speakers included San Francisco historian, Dan Kelly, COO Al Gilbert, CEO Bob Bennett and Board Chair, Lisa Loughney.

The event also featured the first annual Kitty Felton Award which was presented to Richard Van Horn for his achievement in human services. Four Felton employees were recognized for their length of service (30 years or more) – Seny Lajom (30 years), Mary Ng (30 years), Phyllis Hogan (33 years) and Denise Hereford (40 years).

Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers, a bevy of libations and birthday cake. Local television personality, Janice Edwards interviewed awardees and special guests, which can be seen on our video page.
